About Plantastic
Plantastic is a collection of browser-based sound, synth, and UI experiments—each a standalone prototype focused on generative audio, ambient tools, MIDI control, and plant-inspired music synthesis. These tools are designed for rapid creative testing, music-making, and live demos, emphasizing clarity, playability, and transparent sound design. The open codebase encourages remixing and extension.
What You Can Do
- Launch and test individual audio prototypes
- Explore ambient tone and pattern generators
- Control sound with MIDI and automation
- Visualize live audio output with interactive, real-time waveforms
- Compare user interfaces, presets, and effects across different versions
Audio & Visual Effects Highlights
- Audio:
- Delay & Echo: Adjustable by slider for time and intensity
- Stereo Reverb: Deep, immersive sound with user control
- Lowpass Filter & LFO: Animated timbre shaping, depth and rate adjustable
- Master Volume, BPM, and Base Frequency: Full control over mix and tuning
- Melodic Evolution: Notes/tones evolve using the Plant Pentatonic Scale or Camelot Wheel
- Preset System: Instantly load unique effect settings, frequencies, and color mappings
- Detuned Oscillators: 3+ detuned voices per tone create analog/chorus textures
- Stereo Panning & Analog Envelope: Dynamic field and soft attack/release for organic sound
- Optional Tape-Style Pitch Wobble & Tape Delay: Vintage character and movement
- Oscillation Control: Adjust number of voices per tone
- All audio tuned to plant harmonics/pentatonic scales for natural resonance
- Visuals:
- Animated Waveform: Real-time, gradient-enhanced, and beat-synced
- Glow, echo/ghost trails, and beat-pulse background effects
- Frequency Markers and Sinewave Grid overlays (toggleable)
- Particles ("Butterflies"): Ambient, floating, peak-triggered, with customizable density and floatiness
- Preset-Driven Gradients: Distinct evolving color themes for each preset
- Camelot Wheel Key Feedback: Live display of key and color per tone
Concept & Philosophy
- Rapid, intuitive creative testing for musicians and curious minds
